furiosa: belts n broken legs

the belts are made of cast "bounce" ( from hot wire foam factory) and cornstarch. this is the same goop i hard coated wrex with but this is a lighter concentration. these belts feel like nightcrawler rubber fishing lures.  there are lots of little undercuts i'll fill in before making a mold.

i pressed a 1/4" board edge wise into some flattened clay. the rough cut texture generally translated to her worn cracked belts when cast.the light grey is the bounce/cornstarch mix (and a drop of black acrylic)

strap made with thin eva foam, bristol paper. i painted this stuff all grey to match the sculpey. the sculpey should be darker but i didn't bake it long enough. we needed the  for dinner- poor timing on my part. i punched the rivets out with a lil punch out of the same eva
